With the internet and a large array of local bookstores, many people often forget that a library even exists. It’s time to remember the good old fashioned library (even if you order your books online).
The reason I make the suggestion of visiting your local library in search of menopausal information is because the library is an excellent resource and it’s often overlooked. Libraries don’t just offer books. They also offer inspirational tapes, CDs and instructional movies.
Many libraries are online now, which means you can simply log into their site if you are a member and order books online. The nice thing about libraries is that they are connected by state (in America). I live in Wisconsin, so if I log onto the library website for my town, I can plug in the title of a book, CD or DVD and if it is available in the state, you can order it with just the click of a mouse.
Another wonderful feature of a library is the fact that there is a librarian on-site. Librarians are excellent resources for just about any subject and can be very helpful in helping you to find the information you’re looking for.
In addition to the above information, libraries sometimes offer classes and workshops on various subjects. That’s not to say that your library will have classes or workshops on menopause, but it doesn’t hurt to check.
All-in-all, your local library can be a fantastic resource for menopause if you know how to use it and if you don’t, allow your librarian to help you.
