Wanting to have a child when I am already in menopause.?

Me and my boyfriend would like to have a child if we get married. I am 53 and he will be 52 in August. He and I each have one child and we want to have one together? Can someone please tell me how I getting pregnant or do I have to do something like in vitro fertilization? Thanks.

you should prob ask a doc if it's ok to me it sounds like you shouldn't try 53 is well over the age, that's my opinion....

If you do get pregnant, which it is possible because older people have conceived, your child will have a high risk of mental or brain disabilities.

Why don't you adopt? Plenty of children are in need of a loving home:)

Good Luck!

A reproductive Endocrinologist would be the best bet in helping you. Even though you are going through menopause you can still conceive. First you have to have your FSH (http://in2mesee.blogspot.com/2008/11/fsh... and other important levels checked.

If you cannot conceive your own child, you could always use donner eggs and try IVF or adopt.

I wish you the best.

Good Luck and lots of baby dust.
