Menopause at 45? Is this normal?

I am 45 years old and have not had a period for about 8 months, isn't this a little early?? Or is it normal?? I did not began to have a period until i was 15...

It's a little early, but not abnormally young. If you smoke, this can cause menopause to occur earlier.

You should go to a doctor and get checked out. They can do blood tests to determine what is going on and whether it is menopause or something else.

Menopause starts anywhere between late 30's to early 50's on the extremes. To know for sure, see your doctor. He/She can give you tips on how to alleviate any of the discomforts.
