I might highly consider option 2 after I have my first child. Husband and I are seriously leaning towards only having one (adopting the second - maybe more..).
That doesn't make any sense.
Governments want their citizens to have babies. More babies= more power, and a stronger workforce, so more people can pay taxes.
If we were paying people to not have children, the money would run out quickly as the population would decline and their would be less taxpayers to provide the money.
