If I started menstruating at 16 (pretty late), does it mean menopause will start later too?
I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm 35.
They say if you're over 35, your chances of getting pregnant will be just 10%.
I was just wondering, if I started menustruating at 16 which is later than average, does it mean my chances of getting pregnant is higher than an average 35-year-old woman?
And will I experience menopause at a later age?
Answers:
But, since my first period, my periods have been irregular and I've found out that this is because of PCOS.
If your periods are regular and you ovulate normally, then it may mean that you'll get menapause later than average.
If there are no infertility problems with yourself or your partner there is no reason why you can't conceive at your age...it may just take a bit longer.
If you suspect anything is wrong or it has taken you more than 6 months to conceive, then I recommend you both get checked out for infertility problems.
You may have PCOS???
Best thing is to get tested for it....which you will (blood test) and then you can get it treated and conceive!!!
